Prof. Dr. Hüsnü GERENGI kimdir ? Lisans ve Yüksek Lisansını Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesinde tamamladı. Doktora çalışmalarının deneysel kısımlarını Polonya Gdańsk University of Technology de tamamladı. Halen Düzce Üniversitesi, Mühendislik Fakültesi, Makine Mühendisliği bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmakta. Prof. Dr. Hüsnü GERENGI şu alanlarda çalışmalara devam etmektedir;

Husnu Gerengi, the director of corrosion research laboratory, joined the corrosion research group of Department of Electrochemistry, Corrosion and Materials Engineering at Gdansk University of Technology during his PhD studies. He published more than 80 articles in high ranking SCI journals and these articles were cited in various journals more than 650 times. He is the representative of Turkey in The International Corrosion Council (ICC). His expertise areas include corrosion measurement techniques and corrosion inhibitors. He is the first researcher who used Dynamic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (DEIS) method in corrosion inhibitor studies. Thus, determination of the electrochemical changes that occur over time by adding an inhibitor to the corrosion cell was demonstrated. This method makes it possible to determine how, how long, and to what level the corrosion inhibitor used in the corrosion cell is effective. He has 8 patents on Boronium doped corrosion preventive inhibitors. Currently, Husnu Gerengi is a faculty member at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Duzce University. He conducts researches and manages projects in collaboration with colleagues from national and international universities. Moreover, he advises graduate students (Master's and PhD) as well as postdoctoral researchers.
